Athletes have different risk profiles depending on their particular sport. If problems arise, they require a specific therapeutic strategy that will enable them to maintain their performance.

A sports medical check-up is part of providing the optimum support to youth high-performance and elite athletes (at least once a year) in order to detect any health problems at an early stage. If problems arise, they require a specific therapeutic strategy.

The check-up includes:

  • Medical interview with a physician
  • Clinical examination
  • Blood and urine tests
  • Electrocardiogram during the first consultation and whenever required

Other investigations

  • Lung function
  • Exercise-induced asthma
  • Musculoskeletal examination (physiotherapist)
  • Body fat measurement (anthropometry)
  • Conventional X-rays
  • Ergometry

Therapeutic measures

Sports medicine competencies in combination with general medicine, conservative orthopaedics, physical medicine and rehabilitation, as well as collaboration with a network of medical specialists.
