Student association – participating in the further development of the institute

At the SFISM, students have the opportunity to play an active role in the further development of the institute. Whether in teaching, quality assurance or strategic processes, the student perspective plays a vital and valued role at our institute.

The establishment of the student association provided a solid structure for gathering and voicing student concerns effectively. Membership is open to all students enroled at the SFISM – i.e. students enroled in the Bachelor of Science in Sports as well as in the Master of Science in Elite Sports. The student association committee contributes regularly to discussions on internal issues at the SFISM, represents the interests of students in other bodies and liaises with the SFISM and FOSPO management.

Tasks

The following are some of the student association’s tasks:

  • Represent students in relevant committees
  • Give feedback on issues in teaching and study conditions
  • Work with the SFISM management on strategic issues
  • Support initiatives relating to studying at the SFISM
  • Foster cohesion by organising events
  • Promote networking between students and support the integration of new students

Strong internal and external networks

The student association is in close contact with the SFISM and other stakeholders. Its aim is to communicate the student perspective both in the everyday running of the institute and at a structural level.

Contact and getting involved

Do you have questions or ideas, or would you like to get involved? The student association committee looks forward to receiving your feedback and support.
