Active participation in the SFISM

Participation is a central component in the SFISM’s quality culture and development. Students and staff are actively involved in strategic and operational issues, helping to shape change and contributing to the SFISM’s development.

Structured. Effective. Visible.

Two firmly established bodies form the backbone of participation at the SFISM. They benefit from the opportunity to participate in a targeted and effective manner:

  • Staff committee: The staff committee is embedded in the SFISM structure and culture. It voices the concerns and perspectives of the staff on issues at the institute, and is actively involved in strategic processes. Specific improvements have been made on the basis of its inputs – particularly with regard to quality development.
  • Student association: The founding of the student association placed student participation on a solid footing. Cooperation[PH1] is clearly regulated, communication channels are defined, and students’ have a clear mouthpiece.

Development and transparency

The SFISM is committed to strengthening the visibility and impact of the staff committee and student association, to fostering greater representation and providing all stakeholders with a holistic perspective on the institute. Participation is core to our shared responsibility.
