SFISM International
SFISM International promotes student and staff mobility, supports foreign staff and students and assists the SFISM departments in establishing and maintaining national and international partnerships.
Incoming students and student internships
If you are a student at an SFISM partner insitution and would like to study in Magglingen for one or two semesters, you will find all the information you need about the study programmes here:
Students also have the opportunity to complete a three-month internship .

SFISM partner institutions
The SFISM works with various universities and institutions in Europe and worldwide.
The SFISM also offers international summer schools for students in cooperation with selected partner universities. You can find out about course offerings and how to register from the respective university.
Outgoing students
SFISM students who would like to study abroad for one or two semesters or complete an internship can find information on the Ilias learning platform at StudienInfo and on the relevant degree programmes. International Summer Schools abroad for SFISM students
Every June, the Deggendorf Institute of Technology offers a two-week block week at Lake Attersee for SFISM Bachelor students. The theme of the block week is ‹Performance and elite sport and special sports practice›.
Every two years, an international summer school is held in which students and staff from the SFISM, Deggendorf Institute of Technology, the University of Hamburg and Douglas College, Canada, take part. For more information, please contact international@bfh.ch.
Staff mobility
SFISM staff can take advantage of opportunities to teach, carry out research or job shadow abroad. This gives them the ability to recognise the international dimension of their role, network effectively internationally and further develop their global and intercultural skills.
Cooperation with the Global Engagement Office at BFH
In international matters, the SFISM works closely with the Global Engagement Office of Bern University of Applied Sciences BFH. SFISM is recognised internationally as a partner of BFH.

Euraxess Service Center at Bern University of Applied Sciences
The Welcome Center is BFH’s Euraxess Service Center and part of the Euraxess Network for mobile researchers, which is represented in 40 countries across Europe.
