Studies Master Elite Sports
Over four semesters this Master's course teaches coaching science competencies as well as management and leadership skills.
The Master of Science in Sports with Specialisation in Elite Sports course enables you to expand your specialist and methodological skills. Your studies will focus on interdisciplinary, application-oriented research and development and its practical implementation in Switzerland's elite sports system.

Structure
1st and 3nd semesters
Compulsory modules in the study areas “Scientific Foundations,” “Training Science,” “Sports Management”.
Elective modules in the specializations “Training Science” or “Sports Management”
3rd and 4th semesters
Work placement and Master's dissertation (in chosen specialization)
Degree and ECTS
The degree is equivalent to 90 ECTS credit points.
Successful graduates will be awarded one of the following degrees:
Master of Science in Sports with Specialization in Elite Sport
(Training Science)
or
Master of Science in Sports with Specialization in Elite Sport
(Sport Management)
Teaching languages
Classes are mainly held in German, with some courses in French. Students are expected to have sufficient knowledge of both languages (level B2 to C1).

The current module handbook for the MSc Elite Sports 2026-2028 is currently being revised. In the first and second semesters, courses take place from Tuesday to Thursday.
