Teaching specialization
Target audience
Graduates with a Bachelor's degree in sport and/or sports sciences who are intending to work as professional sports teachers at the upper-secondary level in baccalaureate schools.
Learning objectives
- Deeper knowledge of selected sports science topics
- Critical analysis of sports science research findings
- Ability to apply these findings in one's own practice and develop them further
- Recognized university Master's degree which qualifies for admission to courses to attain the LDS II upper-secondary level teaching qualification
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a sports science discipline.
Structure
The Master of Science in Sport with Specialization in Teaching commences in autumn each year. It is designed to be a full-time course over at least three semesters and is completed with a Master's dissertation.
The degree is equivalent to at least 90 ECTS credit points.
Degree
Successful graduates will attain the degree «Master of Science in Sports with Specialization in Teaching».
