Objectives

  • Support and development of young sports scientists within the area of multidisciplinary athlete development in performance sport
  • Participants are familiar with selected ongoing R&D projects in the performance sport section and are able to provide a critical analysis
  • Participants are able to contribute their expertise and scientific discipline effectively to the multidisciplinary setting of athlete development

  • Exercise science

4 keynotes (national and international speakers)

Project work

  • Development of an innovative study design to respond to specific issues relating to athlete development in performance sport

  • Admission requirements
  • Master’s degree or 5 years of professional experience in elite sport
  • Upon completion of the Summer School, participants will receive an attendance certificate:
  • Indication of the services provided: Total time involved (in hours) and project work
  • Participants can take part in the Summer School either on site, digitally or the keynotes only
  • Language: English

Registration

Registration fee:

  • CHF 520 for “on-site” participation
  • This fee includes the course costs plus meals, accommodation and access to certain sports facilities in Magglingen
  • CHF 75 for “digital” participation
  • CHF 25 for “keynote digital” participation, free for SGS members

Number of participants: 10-30 each for “on-site” and “digital”

Depending on the number of registrations, only one of the forms of attendance may be offered (on-site/digital)

Due to circumstances relating to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, changes/adjustments may need to be made at short notice.
